Fishing at Bywell

The Bywell beat of the River Tyne is one of the best stretches of salmon fishing in England. Running directly through the estate, the stunning 2.5 miles long beat offers a variety of bank, boat and wading opportunities.

With a full-time ghillie, five rods can fish the river’s twelve main pools and with two beautifully located fishing huts available to lunch in or to enjoy a post-fishing drink, the Bywell experience is second to none. The five-year average at Bywell is 256 salmon.
